Don’t Make Mistakes: Mistakes can lose current and potential business partners. Do your best daily to work effectively, purposefully and try to things correct the first go around. Knowing that we are all human and subject to err and that there is no one perfect by God, if mistakes are made, quickly remedy them and don’t beat yourself up about it. It is not the end of the world. Be quick not only to forgive others who make mistakes but treat you in the same manner. Show Respect For Authority: Submit to those in authority. Obey in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you or to gain their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human rewards. It is God that you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism. Those who are in a place of authority should always treat those they are supervising with kindness and never with harshness. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful for everyone that you have been given, provide them with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have someone in authority over you. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Rules are not usually designed to restrict but to help. Listen: Winning businesses desire that you catch on quickly, always bring a note pad or a way to document information. Remember that you will and can learn something from everyone you meet, even if it how not to respond or what not to do. Listen intently as communication is never a one way street. Never sit waiting for your moment to speak when someone else is talking, so that you won’t miss anything. Never assume or try to finish another’s sentences. Treat others as you would want to be treated. Show Good Character: Attitude is everything. Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted world, among whom you should shine as lights in the world. Whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, whatever is commendable, anything excellence, worthy of praise, think about those things. What you have learned and received and heard—practice them, and God and His will be with you. Be On Time: Your business or the business that you work for should run seamless and timely. You are expected to be on time. If you are one who is prone to running late. Work on going to bed or getting up early. You have some control of the characteristics that others form about you. Do your work. Every company has those social butterflies that never seem to be where they should be when they are at work… which is sitting and doing their jobs. Everyone has mission, assignments, tasks and plans that are set out for them to do. When everyone is accounted for and pulling their weight, it certainly allows for a great morale and work to flow more efficiently. It should be important to you that you do a good job, whether others are looking or not, whether you get a pat on the back or not. Set your standards high, don’t be that one who complains or gets away with doing nothing just because “so-and-so” is doing. You are leader and you should realize that you cannot follow everybody. If you know right from wrong, choose RIGHT.
